Araki Introduction

I've never been a fan of photography. I have genuine objections to its use particularly its use as a means of preserving memories and staying connected to people. I stumbled upon Araki Nobuyoshi (I'm using Japanese name order here - last name first name) on Perfume. There's something compelling about Araki's work. Most of his work centers on sex, more specifically sexual taboos, but even his work with less inherently evocative subjects has a weight and presence that I have never encountered in photography before. Deeper analysis is required. I'm going to try to get access to his actual books. Until then, I'd appreciate people sharing any information they have on him.
